Hello,
My husband, children and I will be relocating from southern Arizona to Chevy Chase in April. The cost of living is rather different between the two areas and so I'd like to ensure we are putting out a competitive employment package. 2 children: 1-yr-old girl, 3-yr-old boy Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 7AM-5PM Responsibilities: Keeping children on a predetermined schedule, making breakfast&lunch for children, transporting children to pre-planned activities(a vehicle will be provided during work hours), keeping children's' rooms tidy, doing children's' dishes and laundry *Fluent in Spanish is a major plus (Our current nanny speaks only Spanish to our children which we would like to continue/encourage) Pay: $17-$21 per hour all checks will be issued through a payroll service with taxes withheld Vacation: 10 paid days PTO: 5 paid days We are willing to contribute up to half of our nannies monthly health insurance payment Thanks in advanced for any and all feedback |
Seems competitive to me. Some nannies might prefer a higher number of hours per week to get their total compensation up higher, but I don't think you'll have any trouble with that package (I live in CC as well) |
I'm an MB in Kensington (one mile from Chevy Chase) and your offer is very competitive. It's possible that being only a 4 day a week position might make it a little less attractive but I think you will get tons of applicants and have lots of choices for the hourly rate and benefits you're offering.
Good luck (and welcome to the neighborhood). ![]() |
Thank you both very much for your quick replies! It's good to know that I'm not totally off base with this! |
