| I just hired our first nanny. She starts in two weeks. She's babysat for us fairly regularly and I really like her and want to give her something for her wedding. It's going to take place in her home country and it'll be a while before her husband joins her here because they have to sort out immigration. Cash seems to make the most sense in this situation. How much should I give her? I was thinking 100$ in a nice card. Is this ok? |
| MB here. Sounds appropriate to me. |
| that's what I was going to suggest too. |
| A nice card with a cash gift of $100. sounds very thoughtful. I love when parents hire a nanny who they already know and trust. Or they at least get a first hand recommendation from someone they know and trust. |
| $100 is not much for a wedding gift. |
| Sounds fine considering she just started. |
Spoiled. |
| $100 is totally fine. |
Nope. I am generous. Have a good day, u cheapo ! |
| $100 is appropriate. |
OP here. Really? Considering I'm not attending I thought it was appropriate and others seem to agree. |

Greedy nanny is greedy and entitled.
Ignore her. |
