Wish I was more irresponsible sometimes so I could call in sick tomorrow.
|
Call in with frostbite. Explain that because you don't make enough money, you cannot afford to turn on the heat. Kill 2 birds with one stone - get a raise, and a few days off!
|
| Haha no can do. But I'll be dreaming of being back in my bed today. |
| I feel the same. My employers and I follow school closings but I decided to be responsible and still come into work even though schools are closed. There's no need for me to stay home because of the cold. Darn being a responsible person. |
| Eh. It wasn't really that bad this morning, and I got to wear my cute new hat gloves and scarf. My MB also made muffins! |
| How is it too cold? You are in someone's house all day. |
| Don't see what the big fuss is about; normal winter weather. It isn't raining or snowing, there's no ice, sidewalks are clear. If this was a weekend day, I'd bundle up my son and take him out for a walk, perhaps not our usual 2-hr thing but at least 45 mins or so. |
| No one is making a fuss, we're just being silly. Chill out - not everything is meant to be taken in a negative way. |
+1 I'm glad most people get it.
This was meant to be a silly post. Lighten the mood a little. I'd love to be home in pjs drinking hot chocolate while watching TV. |
|
Thanks for lightening things up a bit! It really would be great to go back to bed or drink hot chocolate and watch movies! If you're the crafty type, this is a great day to drag out the oversized paper, glitter, finger paint or other item that you usually ignore because of the hassle. You could also try having a pajama party, making up cold weather tall tales, etc I'm just really grateful the heat is functioning properly and hot tea is in endless supply!
Enjoy your little ones friends! |
