Curious what an appropriate range would be for an experienced nanny working 30 hours/week. Would be paid above board with vacation, etc. like a full-time nanny, just with a reduced work schedule.
What do you consider experienced? I would consider experienced with 10-15 years minimum. I would say between $14-19 an hour.
I work roughly this, without benefits, but on payroll and make 21$
How many kids? location?
OP here - One kid, in DC proper to be paid on the books. 10 years or more experience.
We don't know what kind of person you want. Broken English seems to be fine with some parents, but certainly not all.
OP again - PP -->I'm looking for the range - I.e $15/hr for rough English, can't drive, etc, $20/hr for has BA, bilingual, etc, $25/hr for 20 years experience, glowing references, etc. just trying to figure out the range for certain skill sets.
OP, I think you're pretty much on target for the ranges you mentioned. Although try to avoid being rigid, as there isn't really an exact flow chart to follow.
I do know a $25/hr nanny who doesn't have a degree, but is more self-educated.
OP, I pay $15 per hour for similar hours and benefits in Dc, one kid. 10 years experience, good references, good English.
$17-20/hr in DC.
My rates start at 25. per hour in this area. Doesn't matter which town exactly.
