One day a week daycare

Does anyone know of a one day a week daycare program in Maryland? We have an au pair starting in January and we need to reduce her hours some. My 18 month old has been in full time daycare and I love the socialization it has given her. Unfortunately this place will not allow us to drop in one day a week.

None that will let you pay for only one day. I'm sure there are plenty that will let you drop off only one day -- if you pay the full week.

Yes. Le Petit Academy will let you come in for only one day, but it's pretty expensive. $150 / week I think. I know this because we got an au pair and we almost did this (put down the deposit and everything), but he's instead in a one day a week nanny share, which has worked out great.

Would you be willing to do 2 days a week? A lot of places will allow for a part-time Tuesday/Thursday schedule.

I would definitely consider this. I'm finding several part-time 9-12 places, 2 or 3 days a week for kids over 2. I'm not finding much for an 18 month old.

If you can't find one than try looking for a one day a week sitter/nanny. It's nice you're trying to look for other options instead of piling on extra hours to your Aupair. I'm sure you'll find something.
