Hello,
I am currently a nanny for a family with one toddler who's 23 months old and I have been with them for 9 months, we are in the process of adding a neighbor and starting a nanny share with a 14 month old. I want to give them a fair rate as well one for me since I will be doing double the work. My current rate for 45 hrs is $16.50-17 (includes my taxes not their nanny tax). After doing a little research I was thinking that a rate of $9.50-10 per family (would come out to $19.50-20/hr total) for 45 hours would be reasonable. Any POSITIVE advice is appreciated. I have over 10 years experience in child care, including various certifications and training. Thank you |
| For 45 hours, a good rate is $18-20 per hour total ($9-10 per family) for the base rate. Time and a half for the house after 40. |
| You should earn no less than $20-25./hr. for two families. |
That isn't a standard share rate for the NOVA area. |
