When should we give the holiday bonus?

Curious what nannies prefer--when do you like to receive your holiday bonus? I was thinking of waiting until Dec 13 (we pay every Friday) but maybe that's too late? TIA.

That date isn't too late. My clients always gave it to me, the day before I was officially off for the holidays, which usually was the day before they went away.

Definitely not too late. I usually get mine the day before I leave for my holiday break.

+ 1. I've always gotten it the day before I leave. I'd expect to get one on the 23rd this year as that is my last day of work before I am off until the 2nd!

Dittoing everyone else, last day before holiday break. But it would be kind of nice to get it early, too.

I give it about 2 weeks before Xmas so nanny can use it for her Xmas shopping. Right before Xmas seems late since then if she needed her bonus for holiday shopping she would be left in the dark on how muchbitbwould be unless it was written into the contract.

I always give it before thanksgiving- that way she knows how much it is and can plan for the month of December-- if it is possible- I think it is nice to give it earlier in the month.

My partner and his team get their bonuses the first week of Dec., but as a nanny I've always gotten mine the day before I leave for Christmas (the 23rd, typically). I think any time this month would be completely acceptable.

I actually got mine around Halloween this year. My employers knew I was looking at airline tickets, and the prices were already quite high, so they gave it early to help me get home for the holidays. I thought that was so kind of them!
