Our nanny occasionally has to arrive late or leave early for doctors appointments and we've always been able to adjust our schedules (both parents work full time). It occurred to me that we don't have a true back up in place if she were to call out for a day or two. Is that the type of service that nanny agencies can organize? Any experiences or feedback on the various agencies in town (we're in NW DC) would be appreciated.

We have used Metro Parent Relief and Stacie, the owner, has been excellent. |
HELLO IAM A CHILDCARE PROVIDER / NANNY PLEASE EMAIL ME AT EDUCATIONNEVERSTOP@YAHOO.COM I AM ALSO LOCATED IN DN.W.D.C. |
Ditto this. I know there are other services also, but that's who we have used. We also have had luck finding back-up caregiver or babysitter options through our neighborhood listserv. One family in our neighborhood has a live-in housekeeper/caregiver but their kids are older now so the woman has time available and has been a great back-up option for us. Start exploring some of your neighborhood options also. |
