Twin Rate RSS feed

I just moved to the DC area and am looking for someone to watch my 18 month twins for 15+ hours a week. What is going "twin rate" in D.C.?

$20-30/hr. but you can certainly find a person for 15. if you like.

Twin rate is not $20-30 an hour, especially with them already being 18 months old. Pay based on experience, not based on what some girl who has been a nanny for five minutes is saying what the pay is.

How do you always manage to be the first to post your ludicrous rates and completely derail the thread? Have some respect for the OP and start you own thread please.

To answer your question OP, I have 7 years of nannying experience, have a degree, multilingual, and drive. I would charge you the same as I would for a share, $18-$22/hour, dependent upon other factors such as number of guaranteed hours, additional duties, and unique requirements of your job.

How dare you post a $22/hour ludicrous rate?

I was a twin nanny in DC. They were also toddlers. I also looked after their older brother when he came home from school. My rate was $18 an hr on the books, 50 hrs a week.

What's ludicrous about that? For 15 hours? With twins? For such part time hours, and the added difficulty of toddler twins, OP will have to work hard to find someone qualified. That qualified nanny would know she has little competition, and can charge a higher rate. $22/hour is not ludicrous.

$18/hr is a great rate.
