Fantasizing that the children are really mine

Does anyone else have fantasies that the children that you are caring for are really yours and that during the day when you are out you introduce the children as yours and that you are their mother? I have fantasies about being their Mother and ache sometimes to be theirs. I love them so much and would die and go through the fires of hell for them.

I wouldnt call them fantasies. When I go out, people always assume I am their mother. I do not correct them, because I do not usually like to explain anything to strangers. That being said, it sounds like it is time for you to have your own kids. Perhaps you are getting the "mommy itch." Or maybe try getting a puppy!
