I have been with my current family for many years and have not had to search for a nanny job.
Obviously I am seeing many, many after school jobs advertised right now but very few full-time. Is there a time of year when full-time jobs are more plentiful? |
August and September are difficult months because this is when the great nannies get let go. You have the general run of the mill nannies who are always looking mixed in with ones who have great reference and long term service with their former families. |
End of summer/beginning of fall (so, in the next 3 weeks or so) is a great time to be looking for a new position, but people have babies all year round so it might just be a matter of a slump in your area that will pick up in just a few days. However, if you were to ask an agency they'd say September and January are the best times to be looking. |
Thank you PP. Literally all I am seeing are ads for after school positions. It's a bit daunting. |
