My family recently relocated to the area, and in our old home, we used to go a state park for 4th of July. There would be tens of picnic tables and grills, and lots of families around picnicking. So today, we packed up our kids, some food, and some charcoal, and drove around to the parks listed in the Gaithersburg park website as having picnic areas. Unfortunately, they had either no grills at all, or only one that was already occupied. There was hardly anyone else out. We wound up driving back home and barbequing in the backyard. I asked a neighbor where we should have gone to grill at a park, and he told me that "people around here don't do that." Is this true? I would really love to revive my family's 4th of July traditions next year.
