Where would you take an 8 month old during the day in NW DC---in the Chinatown, Logan Cir., downtown-ish area? Any groups? locations to hang out at?
thanks.... |
Are there any parks or playgrounds nearby? Does the baby like to swing, (assuming there's access to a baby swing)? |
He isn't a big swing guy. We just usually walk around for a while in a stroller. I'm sure as he becomes older options will open up. |
Nature with lots of green is great for babies. Beyond that, you should consider your own preferences.
IMO the worst place for a baby is a shopping mall. |
Does the baby have a great sunhat with a big brim? |
Building Museum is fun, although aimed at slightly older children (2-6 years). $8 for adults, baby would be free. They have a play zone that's included with admission.
It's on F Street in NW DC. |
Thanks. OP here. I've been thinking that the B. museum is a kid's paradise, but like you say, more perfect for 2-6...

I think that the only mall we hang out at around here in downtown is the National Mall. |
I don't see what's wrong with malls? My MB encourages me to take my charges a variety of different places, the mall being one of them. |
