What benefits do/would you offer to a part time (30 hours a week) nanny? Do you offer any paid time off? Do you guarantee hours for nanny or only pay for hours worked? What is the norm? |
I've worked 30 hour a week jobs and was given benefits such as guaranteed pay, 52 weeks a year. I was given 3 paid sick days and 2 weeks paid vacation, 1 their choice and 1 mine. I also got paid holidays.
I currently work 35 hours a week and get guaranteed pay, 5 sick days, and 2 weeks paid vacation of my choice. In addition to that I get 12+ paid holidays. |

My last job was 32 hours a week. I received 10 "flex days" so I could use them as sick/personal days or as vacation days . I had guaranteed hours for the 32 hours a week plus 6 major holidays off paid.... |
30 Hrs. is a little more than part~time so I would offer a few sick days and a paid holidays. |
Troll. This is not realistic. This is really good for even MBs. Are there even 12 holidays in a year? Federal government employees get 10 paid holidays a year for a FULL TIME employee. Part time employees get only paid holiday if it falls on a day they are supposed to work so less than that. Federal Government is supposed to have one of the most generous benefits. A typical job giving you more generous leave than Federal Government jobs for which you have to have college degrees? What a troll. Don't spread bad information around. |
WTH is 12+ holidays? Either you get 12 holidays or 13 holidays or 14 holidays according to your contract, which I'm sure you have if you really get that much paid leave.... MB decides whatever holidays she hears about and says you can have off? "I found out it's World Peace day today in Netherlands.... You can have off!" |
I'm not a troll, actually. There are holidays and there are days before and after holidays that my bosses consider paid days off. Sorry that you are cheap. My bosses appreciate me. |
I have off, per my contract:
2013 July 4 Labor Day Thanksiving Day Day after Thanksiving Christmas Eve Christmas Day 2014 New Years Eve New Years Day Memorial Day July 4 Those are 10 days that most people have off. In addition to that, my bosses told me there would be other paid days off since I am Jewish and celebrate the holidays. Glad you think I'm a troll. Comical. |
Also, I work Monday-Friday so every holiday that falls on a weekday is PAID. If I want off for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, it's considered PAID HOLIDAYS. I don't live in DC and yes I have a college degree. There is no false information. |
Do you live in the ny area? Because I'm from dc but went to undergrad in ny, and the idea of paid Jewish holidays off would be unheard of in dc, but is INCREDIBLY common in ny. |

Sorry about the bitchy PP here. She lives in fear that her slave girl will find out what's out there and leave. |
Shut up, 21:17. You're trying to start trouble, again. |
Actually, I think the 2 MB's were trying to start shit by challenging my benefits package. |
