How much should i pay RSS feed

Anonymous
Someone who comes to my home early morning, helps me to get the kids ready for the day, helps with bfast and stays with toddler while i drive preschooler to school and run errands.

She'll be home with him, put him to nap and fold a load of laundry i washed/dried or vacuum unloads the DW, etc while he sleeps. Once he wakes up she feeds him lunch and takes him for a walk or the park.

I get home around 13:30 with the preschooler who has lunch in school.

5 times a week from roughly 7:30 - 13:30

Thanks

Sounds like you could get a robot a Costco to do that, don't you think? A one time investment is so much more economical, no?

Depends on experience and age.

I'd say $12 to $14 an hour would be reasonable.

Sorry, OP. It just doesn't sound like you care much about getting a high quality person.

What is it that you care about, OP?

What about OPs post warranted the hostile responses? OP I disagree with the pp saying $12-$14. I'd say $15-$16 depending on how qualified, but PT is often difficult to fill and a higher rate will help attract more candidates.

How early is "early morning"?

If you want someone there at 6am be prepared to pay more.

The post, detailing HER needs, reflects zero love or caring for her children. It's as cold as they come. I can't imagine how she treats her children, let alone the nanny she hopes to attract.

Oh you're right, sorry, I blew right past that.

I agree with others the "ad" doesn't say much about what OP is looking for in a caregiver. Nanny? Sitter? Mother's helper? Retired? College student? Professional? These will all affect the anticipated pay of your candidates, OP, but you've heard a healthy range in $12 (mother's helper type, inexperienced, maybe just finished HS and going off to college in the fall) to $16 (an at least somewhat experienced nanny) per hour.

If you read between the lines, the ad says "cheap", IMO. Prove me wrong, OP. What is this job worth to you, OP?

Oh, shut up, 16:48. You're trying to start trouble where there is no evidence of trouble. OP's post isn't necessarily what was in her ad. If you have something helpful to say, like, you know, an answer to the question, then share it. Otherwise, zip it. Troublemaking is annoying and is ruining this forum.
