Annoying neighbor boys... RSS feed

3 kid neighbor boys asked if they could play on DC's new playset, I said okay as long as they don't throw/kick woodchips on the grass. DC1 is at daycare during the day and DC2 (infant) is with me... After putting dc2 down for the nap I look out the window and
Boy 1 is in tree next to telephone wires, boy 2 is climbing along top of the 6 ft tall fence and boy 3 is jumping on the roof of the play house... Wtf. So I politely tell them "hey boys your welcome to play back here but you can't climb the fence or get on top of the play house or climb by the wires, I don't want you to get hurt or something to break." They reluctantly say okay... Then 10 min later they are on the playhouse roof again. So I tell them "if I have to ask again you can't play back here." Then they leave and say "I don't like that lady". Well I don't like you either kid! They are ages 8-11 ish? They are just annoying.. They kick balls on the side of the house & my car, they let themselves in "our" backyard and just wonder around without asking (which gets the dogs crazy and wakes up baby) and they are loud as ****. That is literaly the only negative aspect about my current job.
Am I the only one who is dealing with this? Any neighbor stories anyone is willing to share?

You need to put an end to this. Tell the parents. You could be legally responsible if one got hurt.

Op here. Yeah I will tell them.. I have a feeling they already have an idea because when I texted mb to say I let them play back there and that I would keep an eye on them, she said okay no prob but they aren't allowed on top of playhouse. So if thy ever ask again ill just say no.

I came home one day after it had snowed to find 2 neighbor boys snowboarding down our steep hill into the pole of our basketball net. I politely told them that wasn't safe and they couldn't do it. Now I think they are afraid of me. Whenever they see me they go the other way. I'd tell MB if its becoming a problem.

Why take on that liability?

Op here. I'm not going to take on that liability.
