"If they're feeling crabby, put them in water"
I read this somewhere years ago and it's the single most valuable piece of advice I've ever received. When the kids are grumpy or things are getting too hard, I stick them in a play bath or fill up the kiddie pool and it ALWAYS brings things down to a manageable level.
I'd love to hear your words of wisdom!

When the kids start getting crazy, I let them play "nanny."
They become the nanny. I am the kid.
They absolutely love it and it takes the focus off of their tantrum.

"Fart if you have to, otherwise you'll explode".

Good for charges, nannies and parents. Anyone.

I must be super loopy from my incredibly long day but this cracked me up. Thank you.

When a kid is not listening and you are tempted to raise your voice, lower it to a whisper instead. Kids cannot resist a secret.
