Our summer pool club is such a hassle to deal with over our Au pair. I've heard some wont let Au pairs in, even though they are supposed to be part of the family. And I've heard some country club members who are fine with their Au pairs not being permitted in without the kids, because they don't really want them there. How does your club and family handle it? |
You simply need to follow their rules or find a new club. |
Our pool allows it, as do we. You have the option of choosing a different club or speaking directly to someone at your current club about how to get your AP permission to use their facilities but I don't think polling DCUM is going to help you much. |
Congressional allows the AP to use the pool when with the kids. I wish it were more expansive but it is what it is. |
Ours you pay by the family member, so we just pay a bit extra for her and her name gets put on the list. |
Can you lie and say she's your niece or stepdaughter or something and then have soak as little as possible? Once she has the badge or whatever no one will question it anyway I would imagine. |
We pay extra for AP and in theory she's only allowed to use the pool when accompanying the kids.
In practice, AP has used the pool on her own and has even brought non-member AP guests with her. |
My pool didn't allow for "nanny's" to use the pool, but did allow for AP to be part of the membership. I got all b****y with the membership pointing out that I pay my nanny more than an AP. They said to lie that she was an AP. Of course this year we have an AP. Her first day at the pool she meet 3 APs. |
Ours allows you to add an AP or Nanny to the membership so they can go to the pool. It is like a $25 extra fee. |
