Would it bother you if your nanny was using your wifi?
My nanny just got a new iPad, and I noticed she is using my wifi. When i came earlier, i noticed she was on Pinterest. It is password protected, but I'm sure she found it written down somewhere in our office. She's not doing it while she's working or anything, only naptime, but I just think its weird that she is using it without even asking for permission. |
You are weird. Who cares? |
Of course she's using your wifi, she's working out of your house. Whose wifi should she be using? |
It's weird she knew the password without asking. But I don't think it's weird that she's using your wifi without asking. That is such a weird thing to notice and think about. |
OP needs to get a life. |
Are you sure she didn't get an ipad with 3G? Basically she would have an extra charge on her cell bill and would have similar Internet as a smart phone would.. Just a possiblity the OP may not have considered.. |
You should have done what most bosses do and offered her your wifi password.
I agree she may have 3g service if not i would be upset age looked through your office for the password |
She should have asked you. I always ask for the password and it's always given. No biggie. For her to actually look through your stuff for the password without just asking is odd to me. |
Troll |
It's not cool at all for her to have seen the password written down and helped herself to it.
I would have told her what it was. |
To be fair, OP didn't say the nanny would have needed to look through her stuff. If the wifi password was on a sticky note on the computer monitor, I would have used it too. I would not flip through address books or piles of papers looking for it, but if it was obvious to me when I was in there I wouldn't feel obligated to ask permission either. |
Op here: my husband left a paper with the password on our dining room table. I'm guessing that's where she got it. I don't think she was snooping. It's still weird to me that she didn't ask permission though. |
Hmm office to dining room table. Okaay |
Oh my goodness, crazy person. I speculated she found it in the office. I was only guessing. I've since seen the paper on the dining room table, so I'm fairly certain that's where she found it. You are a weird one. |
Why does she need to ask permission to use wifi if the password is in plain view? |
