Part Time PM Care Provider

Our children will be in elementary school next fall and we are exploring after school care. Wondering what our options are?...
The program at school has a wait list. I would like to figure out what other options we may have if that doesn't work out for us. I greatly appreciate input
for a part-time care provider at home, or another option that we are unaware of.
If you could include hours/day or week, rates for services, job description, and anything else you feel is important to know and consider, I truly appreciate it.

Also. If the individual will drive for us, what are things to consider? Like, providing vs. own vehicle, insurance, etc...

We are in FCPS, Alexandria, VA.
