My nanny uses so many paper towels. Like, can go through a whole XL roll in 2-3 days! I'm not a huge environmentalist nor do I nitpick over "wasting" things, but this seems excessive to me! Other than that, though, she is a wonderful nanny. Oh, if I had to add one more thing, I guess the fact that she "stops by" her apt at least once a week with the kids in tow. I don't really care, but what IS annoying is that she'll make up excuses like, oh i forgot my xyz (whatever the item of the day is) or claim it's easier to go there on the day the housekeeper is home. It's like, just come out and say you enjoy going there, and the kids do too!! (which, I know they do because they find it so amusing to be in "nanny's" house)
I'd be curious to see what others say about their nannies! |

She's late every time it rains. ODS (3) has even noticed. The last time it rained, he said, "It's raining, so [Nanny] will be late."
She doesn't refill the wipes case in the diaper bag (we use it on weekends) at the end of the week, and often leaves used tissues in it. |

Yup, that seems annoying.
Can't speak for myself as a nanny, but my employers have an as needed sitter for date nights usually, and complain frequently about her not leaving the house the same way she arrived. As in, not putting dinner dishes in dishwasher after eating, toys not put away, etc. She is a family friend's daughter, so i understand why they still keep her. |
| 14:31 not a nanny but I use paper towels (I only use Bounty) for absolutely everything. Imcluding washing my face, showerinh, cleanup. I think kitchen towels germ dispensers. |

Our nanny is also wasteful. I no she isn't as wasteful with her own items so it does bother me alot.
Also, her constant texting annoys me. I've had a talk with her and she still does it but when i'm around she tries to hide it. What also annoys me is the way she comes a minute or two late and then takes several minutes to situated. There's alot of little things that annoy me. She does have good qualities as well. |
Same. They don't use them like ever so I don't even know why they buy them but I help myself. |
| My nanny posts pictures of our vacations online when we bring her along (yes, fully-paid). Have asked her to stop but she still does it. |
Is she just posting of the area and amenities or of your kids' faces or their backs or what? Because anything but their faces should be fine. |
She states that she is working and the location, amenities, activities, and when we are leaving and returning. Many people know who she works for since she used to be our child's aide at school. I do not agree that revealing this information is okay. |
| My nanny always tries to talk to me when I walk in the door. She goes on and on about mundane things, even when I hint I'm busy. She's my employee - we're not going to be friends. Often I walk in pretending to be on a call, but many times she'll just WAIT for me to finish. I wish she'd just be ready to go and then leave when I arrive. |
You're a gem. |
Bitch. |
You use paper towels to shower? |
Be glad she actually wants to talk to u... |
I'm a nanny with a 30 minute (without traffic) commute in Southern California. People here are so unfamiliar with weather that they practically slam on their breaks each time a drop falls out of the sky. Even if I check the weather before I leave the house and leave extra time, I'm often late on rainy days. Obviously it's not OK to be late and she should try to keep on top of the weather, but sometimes traffic jams are out of our control. |
