Hello,
I am a first time nanny and have been working for this family for three months. I adore the little ones and have. Good relationship with the Parents. My charges 2nd birthday is coming up and I was Invited to the party. I have to be honest, I love to spoil so I'm not sure what a good limit on price I should set for this birthday gift. Nannies, how much do you spend and MB's what would you be comfortable with? |
Try to be creative, and not "spend" much. |
Maybe a special activity, rather than another piece of junk. |
$10 or less for a 2 yr old. |
This! As an MB I would love if you brought items for a special craft project or activity or - assuming you are allowed to take your charge on trips - gifted an outing, even a low-cost one. That would speak volumes to me! |
I'm a nanny, and I always buy my charges birthday and Christmas presents. Sometimes I go a little overboard, but I usually spend somewhere between $30-$40. I carefully consider each thing I buy them because I don't want it to be junk that sits around the house. I try to get them things they can use or games that I know we will play. |
$15-30 for me.
I try to make it something special though - a favorite book from my childhood, a kid's photo album for when they're missing people, or if the parents are more anti-toy and I'd like to have more to utilize during the day, I'll buy a really good toy that is well made and that I know (through experience) the child will love playing with. |
$.0.00. You are a nanny not an aunt. If you must get him something, then buy a book of stickers at dollar store. |
