What a certain MB told me..... about being the best nanny.

One day, at of the blue, MB said: "Do you know why we wanted you more than any of all the other candidates we had interviewed?"

"When we asked you what you'll do with our new baby all day long, you were the only nanny who told us."

"All the other nannies replied: "Whatever you want."

My rates were double what they anticipated, so they had to reprioritize their finances to afford me. Both parents had demanding careers, so they weren't interested in a nanny who was accostomed to daily instructions.

I guess that's one of the many differences between and a professional nanny and a newbie. Some MBs may prefer someone who will follow detailed daily instructions, in which case they should avoid "experienced" candidates.

I was picked over all the candidates for my position because I had a clear concise idea as to how I would bathe two children ( 2 years and 6 months) - who would've thought?

How self-righteous can you be? Everybody has to start somewhere. I'm glad you got a job based on experience but every nanny had to start their position taking direction.
