True !

The fresh air-one of my charges loves to be outside. When she was an infant and upset, we used to just go outside (we called it a reset). She loves the wind blowing. Watching the trees forever!!

Same with an infant I watched.. She was crying and I tried everything to entertain her but nothing worked, UNTIL, I brought her outside. We were out there for a while and she loved it.. She didnt cry once.

Yes! It's amazing what a change of scenario can do.

Not trying to be mean...that said, it's rather sad when going outside has become a "novel" idea.

Pretty sure they still use those (in windows) in some parts of Europe and Asia (and who knows where else). Good for people who live in small apartments in densely packed cities to get their babies some sunshine/fresh air... hard to vouch for their safety, though!

My favorite might be "Nobody kisses him on his mouth, not even his mother!" I love the vaguely threatening tone all these suggestions have (though I do still agree with most of them!)

I get most of those..preventing germs and all that (kissing on the mouth). But why the NO EATING AT FAMILY TABLE! That one shows up a bunch of times. Is it just the family would eat late and babies need to eat and sleep earlier?

They use things like this in windows in the USA for cats that want to be outdoors. Not sure I would use it for a child... Just take them out for a walk and go to a park. I am pretty sure they have outdoor places you can take kids in other countries as well.
