Nannies want to support YOUR parenting. Not be thrown into becoming YOUR child's parent. It's your job. Do it. Nothing wrong with wanting/needing a little support. But it's your job. Not nanny's job.

Wtf is wrong with you? Why post here if you have such a chip on your shoulder? It's very obvious by the tone of all of your posts that its just one unhinged poster. I'm a nanny and I'm getting really tired of your constant attempts to stir up trouble between the nannies and MBs.

I once heard the DB comment to his wife, right in front of me, "well honey, the nanny is doing everything, except having sex with me, so far".
Needless to say, I left that job pronto.

Agree. It's enough already.

Maybe we should be asking ourselves, what is "parenting responsibility"? Obviously, it's different when there are two parents in the picture, vs. one parent.

New poster here and I agree with the OP. Nannies should not be the primary disciplinarians.

As a nanny I almost feel guilty when the kids obey me, but not the parents. MB stands there in front of me, telling her kid to do something. She gets ignored and glares at me, like why does my kid obey you, and not me?
