My nanny loves to wear flats. Even in winter, but what's worse is that she never wears flat socks. She always wears them with no panty hoes, or flat socks. She will then remove her flats and her foot odor is potent! She will remove shoes when she sees fit, there isn't a shoenpolicynin our home. Then dried, over expired cheese smell lingers when she removes her shoes, so I know it's her! I can't imagine how it will be come summer. How can I hint to her, investing in some flat socks, would be great or slippers? She goes barefooted when she feels like it, so I never know when she will strike so to speak. I don't know if she needs to see podiatrist. I'm very sensitive to smell, always have been. How to approach this issue? |
Why are you home when the nanny is there? Maybe that's your problem. |
First, "panty hoes" is funny. Thanks for making me smile.
On a serious side, if you don't want to hurt her feelings, would you be willing to just buy her a couple of pairs of socks or slippers yourself? Then you can just say something like, "Do you want these? I have them around and don't need them." If you don't want to do that, you might just have to bite the bullet and talk sincerely with her. |

Have everyone in the house start wearing slippers. Let nanny know that a new house policy has gone into effect that shoes come off and slippers go on when in the house. You may purchase her a pair of slippers if you want but I know that I personally would rather pick out my own pair. |
The smell lingers. MB comes home and can smell it even if nanny took her shoes off hours prior. Kinda like a Kimmy Gibler. |
If she has bad foot odor, tbere could be other reasons. 1. She needs to throw out all her shoes because nothing will remove the odor. She also needs to see a dr. To find out if there is a health problem. She needs extra strength odor eaters and let them dry out between wearings, so she should get a couple pairs. Good luck.

What are flat socks? |
Ew.
I don't know how to approach it, ugh. Sorry. |
I wear keens in the summer and they make my feet stink when i normally do not have stinky feet ever. Sometimes it's just the shoes, not a medical condition!!! I wash the keens every week or so in the summer, and wash my feet, even between the toes with antibacterial soap which my my feet very slippery in the shower. Then I use medicated goldbond lotion and foot powder. This controls smelly feet. If you figure out a way to talk to her, there's some practical advice. Good luck. |
Is this the same troll who started the firing the pregnant nanny thread?
Sounds just like her. |
