So anyone who has cared for twins...do you feel like caring for twins is 10x harder then caring for just siblings? I nanny for almost 2 year old twin girls and after 9 hours of working today, I am BEAT!! Don't get me wrong..I love them and they are so much fun but at the end of the day, I just want to curl up in my bed and pass out!! I have cared for 4 kids before but for some reason, twins always seems to be the most exhausting!! Anyone else feel like that?! |
Yup, done that. Bless you. Hope you are well compensated for your extraordinary work load. |
omg yes. twin two-year-olds in PARTICULAR are exhausting beyond words. |
I like it. Built-in age appropriate buddy, same schedules in terms of naps and feeding...

OP Here: totally agree with you here! They definitely keep each other company while I'm folding laundry or making lunch but they also fight and I swear they both get together and "plan" to whine/cry together! haha It's definitely fun though. |
Funny, I'm nannying four kids now but my last job was twins. I'm not gonna lie, there were a couple times with the twins when the three of us all sat on the floor and cried together. And between one and two is the hardest age for me (mobile enough to cause trouble but not old/verbal enough to consistently follow rules or directions). But generally I found the twins to be easier than two different ages. Remember it only gets easier the older they get. As soon as "mine" were really steady on their feet I taught them to hold each other's hand when out of the house and I can't tell you how much of a difference that made.
As for being exhausted, we can totally empathize with that (at least us good nannies who work hard). When I get home I can barely cook myself dinner much less do the laundry or anything productive. Kids are so exhausting! |
OMG that's my life right now I'm a nanny for 2 year old twin girls right now. and it is so hard at times they are not bad at all there just 2 and 2 year old are exhausting its everything the meltdowns the trying to communicate and be individuals x2. I know how it feels. but i wouldn't change it for the world. |
Totally agree ^^ |
I am a mother of twins...and I can't agree with you more!
And I have had a full time nanny since they were three months old! |
+1!!! |
