Nanny as Playmate.... or Teacher?

Which do you prefer?
Are you a parent or a nanny?
From what I see, nannies seem to lean towards one or the other.

I am a nanny. I like to see myself as both a playmate and a teacher. The younger the child is, the more playmate I am. As they become older then I see myself more as a teacher.

Both, my charges are young, too young for formal schooling, but when we play, they learn. I'm amazed at how fast, I come in on a Monday and it seems like they are a whole new kid.
