I feel that my charge hates me

I dont know what to do anymore, i feel that my charge hates me.... Whatever mom is around he cries and tells me to leave and he doesnt want me... Hes 2, and im starting to worry cause im afraid mom will think that im doing something to him... What should i do?

Mommy always wins over nanny, it's normal. I'd be worried if your charge preferred you over mommy, then your job is definitely over. How long have you been with him? May just take some time for him to adjust.

I work with him for a year but i took a month vacation cause of family problems.... And now he just hates... And it doesnt help im the one that always play the bad cop... I just dont know if i should look for other job...

Sometimes I wonder if any of the nannies who post have any experience with children or early childhood education. Of course he is going to prefer his mother especially if your the disciplinarian and have been away for a month. He is two yes old and has prob had a relaxed month with everything just handed to him. Now he has to adjust back to your strict routine. You want to win him over? Find very exciting activities he would enjoy and stay positive, happy and animated all day. Soon he will see how fun you are and enjoy your company. His mommy issues will dissolve once the routine has been going on for awhile

If the nanny tries super hard, maybe she'll get to be the kid's favorite playmate.

Mommy always wins over nanny? You are obviously not very familiar with MBs, nannies, and the children that they watch. In many cases a nanny is the primary caregiver (spends the majority of time with child) and in many of these cases, nanny wins over Mommy. It's not very easy for a lot of MBs to handle, but it is not uncommon at all.

OP, I used to take of a 2 year old girl and she was so attached to me that anybody would think she was my daughter. She would scream every day when I was going home. I had to go back to my home country for one month and when I came back...omg...the girl started to hate me...it seems like she was very upset because I abandoned her for all that time. MB was in maternity leave and bonded with her daughter while I was out. But oh boy..it was a hell of time. I ended up leaving for another job.
