The last couple of days I've been applying to different jobs and I'm seeing an increasing number of postings with the phrase "Must love kids!". I mean isn't that kind of implied. They can't come up with anything more creative?

Lots of parents -and others!- who get stuck with the kids,
actually hate it. Sad. Why do you think so many of us
moms "can't afford" to "stay home"?

If you are on care.com, it's their new job wizard that creates automated postings after the parents answer certain questions on their nanny needs. It makes it look like a ton of families are posting the exact same ads. It's annoying.

How amazing it is that we CAN afford to pay someone else to do the dirty work.

Thanks for letting me know! I was getting kind of worried they were all from the same person and it was some kind of scam.

Same here! I feel the need to bump this thread because it's been driving me crazy on Care.com (and the website never informed me this was a thing!).. I thought for sure it was either a scam or an outside agency fishing for nannies.

Kind've like many nannies who answer the question "So why did you choose to nanny" -- "Because I love kids"

How strange that this bothers you. Nannies love to complain about their boss's being cold and distant, but apparently a parent seeking a loving nanny for their child is also a problem.

Pp if you have seen the wizard ads it seems lazy and comes of as cold and distant since the parent used yes no questions to fill out their ad. I like the more personal ads that detail about the family

I agree. I acually don't apply to those jobs.
