Daily log twin infant feelings RSS feed

Does anybody use a daily log for twin infant feedings? Are there iPhone apps that work for this nowadays, or just good old fashioned notebook?

I always log infant feedings/poops/sleep +anything interesting. I'd love to hear about apps, too

I have an Android and used ibaby for a while. But my MB didn't care if I kept a log or not.
Twins are and have been on the same schedule since day one. We have adjusted for them growing (now 7 months) ie bottle times more spaced out. Naps at set times, solids and so on.
At first I was like aahhh I have to keep a log. But after about two weeks I got over it.

How old are the twins? Are they on the same schedule or separate ones?

Oh I'm pp by the same schedule I mean the twins I watch are on the same schedule. I feed them together, they go down for naps at the same time, feed them solids at the same time.
When I reread my post I didn't want it to sound like they are on the same schedule that they were on as infants.

OP here...
They are one month, on the same schedule and formula fed. Start next week and wondering if I should put in my contract that I will provide a daily log of feelings, diapers, naps, etc.

I'm the pp with twin charges. MB and I discussed - she basically was like well I've never kept one as long as they eat and sleep all is good. I was shocked because when I first started I thought MB was all by the books, etc. She's really great to work for. Very laid back - cracks jokes, like oh if one breaks we have spare parts, who ever is cranky gets sold or best one - it was their idea to be twins (identical) so they just better deal with it. Haha

You'll love working with twins! I actually think having just one infants /baby is now boring lol
MB and I discuss anything that we need so no need for a log.

It's good your twins are on the same schedule - makes it easier.

Good luck!!!!!!

She sounds nice to work for! I'm hoping for a good experience like yours.
The smartphone apps I've glanced at all seem like too much trouble, like it would be easier to just write it out.

They are and I tried a few in those two weeks. I liked ibaby because I could easily flip between each baby. But writing would have been easier. I always had my phone on me (to text photos to the parents) so that's why I tried the apps.

Oh another funny thing she said to me...
Both babies have started to pre crawl, getting bottoms up arms in full push up and ending up going backwards. She's like H - I pay you so you have to do what I say and when they try to crawl push them back down. There will be no crawling or walking. I than asked her if she wanted me WI Velcro them to the floor. We both laughed.

I use to write it down on a spread sheet the dad made. Which was a pain in the butt. The twins were not on a schedule because of acid reflux. I would have preferred a regular notebook.

I am with a singleton now so it is much easier.

I found that logs help me.

All I did was make something in word and print it off. It had sections for bottles, diapers, and naps as well as a section for activities and notes. It didn't require having a schedule, as I could write down what time and how many ounces for bottles, what time and wet or BM for diapers, etc.

i swear by the baby connect app, it has a simple but detailed interface and allows parents to view the log on their phone or on the website.

I had a written log which MB was ANAL about.

each paper was looked like:
BABY #1 Column /////// BABY #2 Column

And under each column i'd include:

Nap times
(ex: 9am-10:55am - 1 hour & 55 mins)

What time they drank & how much they drank
(ex: 11:02 - 6.2oz)

Bowl movement (& even include if it was small/med/large)

Write down I gave medication

..yyyyeahh

OP here - it went great, the mom and the whole family are wonderful. Still working out a schedule, trying to get them on a 3 hr schedule so it's not that uniform yet since they are so young. Not asked to write it down so far. Thanks for the ideas
