How many nannies are working today?

Curious how many nannies are working today. If you are working, do you anticipate being let off early?
This is the first NYE I've had a family ask me to work a full day.

Can I ask why you're resentful? I'm not trying to be disrespectful, I just don't understand. It's not a Federal holiday and it is a Regular workday. If its a day you would want off, why wouldn't you negotiate it off in your contract? Otherwise it's just a workday.

I assumed I was working today and sent MB a text to confirm my start time (it varies) only to hear I have today and tomorrow off. I'm greatful for the time off but I miss the kids like crazy! The baby will have grown so much since the 19th.

Working today and tomorrow. Worked Thanksgiving and Christmas, and I don't get 1.5x holiday pay. Thaught extra holiday pay was a law on federal holidays, but I learned its not .

Off until next week. I have two weeks off every Christmas. It is great but I really miss the routine and the kids!! The infant will have grown a lot, I am sure.

I guess I'm envious of my nanny friends who don't go back to work until the 2nd. Thanks for not being nasty!

I'm off until January 2. At this point I am more than ready to get back to my normal routine. I miss the kids, and I'm glad we'll have 3 full days together before they head back to school/activities/appointments the following week.

I worked just shy of a full day today, as well as NYE sitting for my former nanny family. I didn't mind. Both daytime MBs went out and spent the day together and the family I'm sitting for right now are very special to me and we are extremely close. They don't know it yet but tonight will be no charge, my belated Christmas gift to them.
