MIL rants RSS feed

If my DH takes one more ham-bone, cow-bone, fish-bone OR any-bone from my MIL (for our dog), I am going to go postal! Our freezer is filled with random animal bones that our dog never eats!

I just started my Holiday vacation and MIL called me at 7:45 am to ask if I wanted to spend the day shopping with her. I politely declined saying I wanted to head to the grocery store instead. Guess who seemed so surprised to run into me at the store? MIL! May I add that she never shops at this store, she says it's too pricey.

Argh!

FYI, she gives these bones to my DH multiple times a week and he is too polite to decline. Instead, he drives me crazy by taking them and placing them in or freezer!

Guess who has this year, last years, and last last years ham-bone from Christmas dinner - me!

Just do what I do: throw them in the trash. Your frig, your rules.

Your MIL has a hard time throwing things away that someone can use so she gives the bones to your husband since you have a dog. Your husband has a hard time throwing things out that your mom gives him. Therefore, it is YOUR job to toss them out if you can't use them. If you don't want your MIL to "run into you," don't tell her about your plans.

Signed,
BTDT and still managed to get along with everyone after 25 years of marriage.

This is poetic justice for telling her a lie.
