Christmas gift for my bosses RSS feed

Anonymous
I am a tiny bit stressed. I am wondering if anyone has ideas for a Christmas gift for my bosses? My bosses are wonderful to work for. Last year, I was only with them for two months when Christmas rolled around and I put together a calendar with a collection of photos of the kids. I even gave a few gifts for the kids. They gave me two weeks pay and a very nice Chanel purse.

I want them to know I appreciate them just as much as they appreciate me.
I feel awful for spending so little compared to them.

Any ideas?

They don't expect you to spend much. Your salary is nothing compared to theirs.

-coupon for a free night of babysitting
(You could even take it further by getting a gift card to the movies)
-pictures of the kids

Its not expected that you buy your bosses gifts. They pay you, so its basically giving them their money back in the form of something they may or may not want. What you did last year sounds fine. Focus on the kids.

I'm a MB and would love a night of babysitting or pictures of the kids as a gift. No gift cards, please.

I am so glad my boss is jewish Maybe I should start a thread

Just bake them a nice platter of cookies or brownies and put it on a cool plate from like the Dollar Tree. I think spending money on gifts for the children is more important.. and just a small gift to your bosses to let you know you appreciate them.

OP, a Chanel purse begins at $3500.00 and up. They gave you a knockoff. Employees do not give their employer a gift. Bake some cookies or give FOUR (and only four) hours of free babysitting, if you must give them a gift. Maybe this year they will give you a Hermes knockoff.

Last year my employers did even say thank you (not even for the kids gifts!!!) so this year they're getting nothing and the kids are getting gifts but not $200+ like last year.

You do not know this. It could very well be real if the employers are wealthy.

I am an MB and would love a night of babysitting but I really dont need a gift from my nanny. If she wants to get a gift, I would rather it be for my son.

Why in the world would you spend so much money on the kids??

+1000

I'm just buying a couple of my favorite books and two toys for my charge - things I specifically want to read to/play with him! I'm budgeting maybe $40 and even that feels excessive - he's just too cute not to splurge a little.
