Going rate for Live-in nanny?

Agree with PP. It's just like that. When a family is searching a Nanny live-in; it's because it works better for them and want most of the time the nanny is available longer hours or have the flexibility to switch her schedule and sometimes requiere her to work very late if they want to date or have late work meetings on wkdays or wknds. It's completely very convenient for the family and no for the nanny. A nanny who likes to live independent; it doesn't matter for her; if you provide a basement/apt or just a room or a guest the house. Most of them will not looking for a position Live-In.

Since they love to have the feeling they are leaving on Friday around 5:00 pm and coming back on Monday early; and will have enough time; her whole wknd relax, rest, have fun, move/eat around as they please in her own Apt/house. At the same time prefer keep their social life on wknds apart from work for respect and for comfort.

So OP.. I can say it's the same rate for a Nanny Live-in and a Nanny Live-out. Doesn't change anything.
