Speaking as a parent, I think you could even ask if they have (or are willing to get) a jogging stroller so you can keep up fitness by jogging with kiddo.
In non-pandemic times, I was also fine with my nanny running errands with kiddo. In pandemic times, however, I would probably be uncomfortable with it, especially with a child too young for both vaccine and masking. |
Grocery pick up, non-contact? |
Its like u boarding school, some parents can only take 2 days with their child. I would not take this job, they need 2 people or mom needs to take on some parenting duties. But I say it is a troll post since its hard to imagine such parents. |
Do you need that 15-20 hours of downtime to take care of your own business, socialize or unwind? My nanny schedules appointments before and after work if possible. Only you can answer that question. |
I would say great, go for it! Others may disagree (and I might feel differently if we were talking about multiple stops that ended up being hours in the car seat), but a quick curbside stop or two is not a big deal. Kiddo would be doing the same if a parents stayed home. |
Once or twice a week to one or two stores for pick up shouldn't be a problem, in my opinion, if the parent would have otherwise been fine with errands prior to covid. |
Think about this child when you leave... You’ll become her world, and she’ll suffer the consequences of abandonment by her primary caregiver. Why don’t the parents want to parent? |
She had weekends and it wasn’t forever. Her post is genius, actually. I’m going to incorporate some of her ideas and I work just nine hour days. |
