How would you feel if your boss did this to you? That's banking hours. Not even legal.

To be fair most nanny employers do not have a similar situation with their bosses. Instead they regularly work past the “quitting time” without any extra compensation at all since they are salaried. The notion that they would get to work less than “standard hours” for a bit before needing to ramp it up would likely be welcome news.

You can't do that. She can't make up hours at later date. That's so unfair to her. How could she possibly make up all those hours? Not legal either
