Perhaps “no way” would a wise nanny put up with you for another year! Good riddance. |
You're so cheap that you don't even give a whole Weeks bonus? |
You cannot afford a nanny. |
Nanny troll is back again. |
Recommend you ask this question to the parents in the regular DCUM forum (Childcare). |
I’ve always only got a bonus during Christmas and it’s usually equivalent to one weeks pay. If your nanny started in August, that very close to Christmas so you’re giving her two bonuses? If she’s great and you can afford that great but 2 bonuses within a 4 months span seems extreme— but amazing! I usually get a raise around my anniversary date or a bonus depending on how much was given the year before. |
What was the rationale behind the twice-yearly bonus? |
The nanny agreed to this contract... no one held a gun to her head. Nanny jobs aren’t hard to find In COVID times. |
I’ve been with a family since September and just got my bonus. It’s 2/3 of my pre-tax pay.
With that said, my contracts don’t have a bonus amount written in. A bonus is extra, not guaranteed. If you have a contracted bonus written in, I don’t think you need to worry about a monetary gift at all, just have the kids do something for her. |
