In my area, a morning nanny is hard to find unless you have someone in your neighborhood with a nanny that starts after the hours you need that is looking for more income and doesn't mind a long day. You can post to nextdoor and see if anyone fits the bill. Other morning nannies tend to be unreliable because coming out for early morning just isn't generally worth it in the long run unless you will be nearby anyway afterward. |
This is what we have done as well. Kids were in full time preschool. Pre pandemic, one of us went in early and did pickup / started dinner. The other one got the kids ready in the morning, did drop off and went in later. |
Agree with PP who said morning only nannies are hard to find. Often these are filled by college kids who want some extra hours or someone who works another job. So if there are days you need flexibility, such as kids being off school for a snow day, then they can't stay late as they have to go to class or their other job.
If you need everything covered, I would do full-time nanny and ask her to help out with other things. If not, you could try the two part-time positions but you will likely need to end up paying more per hour for someone to come out for so few hours. |
