The kids I know prefer being called kiddos, like to be chased by the tickle monster and love laughing themselves silly while I carry them like a bag of potatoes. There’s no reason to be overly formal with children.

There are plenty of kids on the metro I think of your nanny takes the precautions Necessary it is fine with that said I have taken my kids plenty of times. Don’t let others influence your decisions and let them call you stupid. It’s whatever YOUR families feels comfortable with.
