This board always degenerates into people putting the OP down.

OP here and I don't feel put down. I got a lot of helpful advice from the serious posters. Thanks again all!

No you should not grocery shop. You should stay in your house and yard.

I know I can go for walks but there are a few folks I've seen socially distancing of course during the past few months. Should I refrain from that for the two weeks? I want to be practical as well as ethical here. No suggestions of doing shit they won't know about so don't go there. I need advice on what the reasonable parameters are here.

If I were you, since it's only two weeks:
-grocery immediately before, not at all during
-no social distancing visits

Who is paying. If new boss is paying stay isolated 100 percent. He should pay your full salary. If not why is this your concern

I'm taking a two week break on my dime. That is the terms I have offered the new family as they have a newborn. They didn't request it, I offered it. We have to start a new bubble.

Hope they pay well. If it is for free do the best you can. My neighbor (a doctor) no less, has a helper/nanny with a mask come every week. But on weekends when nanny not there has thrown several pool parties. I take everything with a grain of salt
