Why did you hire a new person? Did your nanny no longer wish to work?

OP never said that her DH has a problem taking care of his kids. She said they are struggling to pay since he lost his income.

Why are you so bitter?

Losing a business is hard. Finding yourself in unforeseen circumstances is hard. And staying with your (young) children 24/7, not allowed to take them out, when you’re used to going to wrk everyday is very hard. So yeah, I feel sorry for that guy too. And I applaud them for continuing to think of their nanny in the midst of their own financial and mental situations.

You can take your kids outside. Stop being dramatic. Its not hard staying with your young kids and many parents enjoy it. The money issue is real but hopefully they have savings.

Frankly, it depends on your location. Anyone in an apartment or townhouse without a yard may not feel safe taking their children outside.

You'll have to take care of your own children!
