Cultural Care is definitely aware and mounting responses and planning to dialogue with the Council- this is a nightmare for their business. DC is 400 APs to Massachusett's 1500, but that's still a lot considering that's essentially one city versus a whole state.

Exactly, Massachusetts has 10 times the population of DC but barely 4 times its amount of APs. So the bill will have a bigger effect here than in MA.

Yet another reason not to vote for Brandon Todd, Ward 4 peeps.

Ours seems pretty disorganized. I think agencies are focusing a lot of energy on MA, and like everyone else, overlook DC.

What is your agency? I am with APC, not a word...

I finally just received an email from APC about this matter, a bit late in the game IMO, this makes me wonder how they handled the MA issue.

How will that helps the situation? (and I am not a fan of Brandon Todd). I don't even think he still has any control over this bill, the damage is done and he is only one vote in the council. But I might be wrong...

From somewhere else in this thread or another one, it seems like this bill won't even be up for hearing till the Fall, so yes while it would've been best to have the exemption in the initial draft. It is not even close to being over yet. So send your letters and make your calls!

Speaking of that timing, a lot of us are up for renewal in the summer. I wonder what the agencies will do with this amount of uncertainty. I'm not going to be loving writing them another check that puts me on the hook for some unknown amount if this bill passes come 2021 or whenever it is and I'm still under contract.

This is seriously such a mess.

These agencies need to get on the ball, APIA in particular seems messy AF.
