It depends on where you live. It is not a comparable job trying to deal with 20-35 kids and making lesson plans and all teachers do but most school districts after so long require a masters degree.

Some edu majors find out they loathe teaching. But yes, OP, $25 an hour is low for a degreed nanny.

Requiring a degree makes this position advanced, not entry level. Additionally, this isn’t a permanent position, and likely doesn’t offer the bigger benefits of other careers.
