I would tell them you need the weekend and will get back to them Monday night.

Let them know you will need a time they can chat uninterrupted.

Take the time to 1 apply to agencies and update your resume. 2 write out everything you want to say. Don’t apologize or make excuse. They either accept or not.

OP, what happened?
I think they are dreamt of keeping you until the youngest went to school, but they are planning to move them to group childcare. They WISH they could keep you but this was a last ditch thing to try to keep you.
