How much to pay for 5 kids under 3

For 9 hours a day our nanny takes care of 4 out of the 5 kids full time and sends us daily pictures videos and everything she has been in this field for 15 years and all her experience is with multiple children... She even managed to get all of them on the same nap schedule in the afternoon. We honestly take our hats off to her because I stress out just caring for my 2 on my own so let me just put that out there. We have no concern about them being not cared for. We just wanted to compensate her fairly.

Does your nanny care for four of THESE kids or your two and two others? If the 12mo is the old new child, you and your share partner pay normal rate, parent of the singleton asks the nanny if $x rate (should be approximately 2/3-3/4 of your rate) is fine. Just be aware that it isn’t legal for a multitude of reasons, the top one being that in an emergency, your nanny physically can’t get all the kids out of the house at the same time.

Hey OP. So, first I’d ask your nanny who much she wants. Second, have dinner prepped if you’re going to leave just after lunch and be gone that long. Third, be glad your nanny is willing to do this. There’s a reason most of us wouldn’t.

I assume this would put her into OT for the week, and it should be paid accordingly and your other friend should add $10/hr for her child.

So you're basically talking about twin infants, twin 1-year-olds, and a 2-year-old.

As for pay -- how much is she paid per hour during her 9-hour-stint with the 4 kids? That might give us an idea of what she would expect for an evening.
