My baby’s grandmothers are 55 and 58. Both have advanced degrees are work in their chosen (male dominated) fields. No clue who you are talking about but it is not your average DC grandmother! |
Holy hell, PP, how old are you?! My kid’s grandmother’s are 51 and 68. My mother, at 51, is a preschool teacher and my MIL still runs her own company! Both marched with me and DD for the Women’s March and the March for Life. Both are extremely liberal minded, traveled, women. What you are describing sounds like my great grandmother who would have been 113 now! |
I’m 33 now. I was talking about MY grandmother, who is very healthy and fit at 78. |
Is she American? Sounds like more an issue of education rather than age. Our nanny is 63 and absolutely the world's greatest nanny and far more open-minded and liberal that either DH or I. Also, as a former preschool teacher, she is more up to date on AAP recommendations and safety procedures than I am. Like anything else, OP, you take everything into consideration but I would never dismiss a nanny based on her being in her 60s. That is still so young. |
