MB talks negatively of me and the child overheard

OP here again: I sent a message to mom asking to please double check the problem, she explained that the little girl read the problem wrong; then I told the mom that I now have a problem because Larla thinks I don’t know math because “I don’t have a job”. MB said she had no idea where it came from and said she would talk to Larla, I replied that it is ok and kids say all kinds of things but it would be good if Larla agreed to doublecheck problems if I asked her to.
I feel a bit better now that I have sort of called her out on her judgements!

Congrats OP for taking the high road from that first nasty poster.
That poster has serious anger issues.
The L-O-N-G response was full of critical, unnecessary points.

Many OPs get angry as heck if someone criticizes them.
You are showing your class by holding your own on this.

You handled that perfectly! You brought to the mom’s attention that, hello, you can’t even do part of your job now because the kid doesnt trust that you know what you’re doing. Not like her almighty doctor mother.

You also stayed calm and collected while she denied the truth, the very obvious truth. I’m sure that wasn’t easy. I’d love to have updates on this if you have time, Op. Good luck!

Op here, thank you everyone! I don’t see the MB but the dad acts as usual. My charge is at it again though: she saw me picking up the money that was left for me and asked why i was “spending her mom out of her money” ))))) so we had a conversation about how babysitting is a job and I get paid just like her mom gets paid at her job, and where people get the money and where they store them, etc. I can only imagine what conversations happen in this family! Probably about “the help” robbing them out of their money! I can now just laugh it off

She seems like she loves to test limits! She tries to boss me around but so does my own kid.

I would quit. This family sounds horrible. Doctor families are usually the worst in my experience. They think they're superior.
