Please help me make a plan

I guess I will just go read care.com. They have a bunch of resources I can read on how to hire a nanny.

We pay our nanny $27 an hour. After school nannies are hard to come by and very hard to retain. I have friends who pay $30 an hour for an afternoon nanny.

You would block out a short period of time every day, drive there, and do it for very little pay? Some people value quality and longevity, which you’ll likely only get with high pay for lsuch a short timeframe.

No one was "striking out" at you, OP, they were laughing at your question. You asked a question with an obvious answer - more than a few MOTHERS commented on it. You lashing out a nannies and calling them names proves that you are not someone who should employ a nanny. Daycare is your only alternative.

Have her meet your child for an hour, but definitely have daycare meet her too. You will have to add her to the list of approved pick ups. Also, $25 an hour for those hours seems reasonable if you want someone reliable.
