We went to a safe kids event and found out our car seat was too small for our child even though he was within the weight and height limits. We bought one on the way home. They have these events here and there. |

Not all parents are equally risk adverse. A child being a couple inches taller doesn't mean that the car seat now offers no protection.
Not everyone is anxious all the time about their kids dying in a car crash. |
Ignorance is no excuse. It is the job of a parent to know these things. The nanny should protect herself by sending a text or email about her concern for car seat. |
It's true. Poking a hole in a condom doesn't mean it offers NO protection, but I still prefer to use one that is intact, I guess because I have an absurd level of anxiety. Similarly, I think it is important that my charges all be in seats that actually fit since car crashes arw one of the top causes of death in the US and since using a car seat incorrectly increases the risk of death to the child around 40%. Guess I just need xanax to calm me down so I won't mind when a child dies. |
+1 I did the same thing because I was so stressed and had ppd. My husband was clueless about car seats. If they get upset about this then you know they're the problem OP. |
